April is National Credit Union Youth Month!
Providing financial education embodies the movement’s ‘people-helping-people’ philosophy. The theme for this year’s Youth Month is “Be a Credit Union Saver and Your Savings Will Never Go Extinct.” Together, we’re encouraging young individuals to open a savings account here at West Texas CU. Each new youth account will receive a free gift at time of opening. In addition, your child can enter into our coloring competition to win either a $75 or $100 savings deposit! All they have to do is pick up a coloring sheet from the Credit Union and show us their best coloring skills! Completed coloring sheets should be returned to the CU no later than April 30, 2021. A winner will be selected thereafter. Winner must have an active savings account with West Texas Credit Union.

This celebration is a great time to engage kids at West Texas Credit Union to help them develop healthy money habits.
Good to know: Competition is for 1st-8th graders only. A winner will be chosen from each grade level based on who has the best coloring sheet. Show us your inner artist! Winners from 1st-5th grade will receive a $75 deposit. Winners from 6th-8th grade will receive a $100 deposit. Entries must be submitted to the Credit Union no later than April 30, 2021.
